Food grade polished stainless steel construction. Stainless steel lid which is held in place by clips.
Cast iron gears, not nylon like elsewhere, this is a sturdy robust unit. I have sold hundreds of these over 7 years and never had any returned. Totally maintenance free. This was the first item I imported.
Fits 2 Full Depth Langstroth , W.S.P. , Manley , Ideal , or Half frames. The steel rods the frames sit on are 145 mm apart. If you are using Ideal ,or Half frames you can put wire or cable tie.
Reversible.
Tangential (radial is only available for additional frame extractors). The frame faces the side of the tank. Very efficient way to remove honey from the frame.
2 handles on side for lifting.
Height 70 cm. Diameter 35.5 cm.
Depth from where lower part of frame sits to base 150 mm. Holds 10 litres of honey. Base is convex.
Handle supplied or use electric drill to rotate.

PROCEDURE FOR HONEY COLLECTION.
Remove frames from hive.
Remove wax using thermostat controlled honey knife or uncapper.
Put 2 frames in extractor. Don’t just put one in as it tends to go off balance.
Spin using handle or electric drill. If using wax foundation start off slow and increase speed gradually otherwise wax may blow out.
Open honey gate and pour through double mesh strainer into honey tank or plastic bucket. This will separate wax residue from honey.
